La Morra has spent a quarter of a century in the highest echelons of early music. This summer, the ensemble will be celebrating 25 years of musicianship in a very special place: Antwerp, where it made its debut in 2000 during Laus Polyphoniae’s IYAP day! With an arsenal of historic instruments – from the clavicimbalum and organetto to the plectrum lute and vielle – Corina Marti, Michal Gondko and their virtuoso companions unearth treasures from the Codex Reina, a fascinating Venetian manuscript in which French finesse meets Mediterranean flair. This concert pairs anonymous songs from the illustrious manuscript with little gems by the great master Guillaume de Machaut in the perfect silver jubilee for a golden combo!
