Warning: baroque orchestra under construction! Luckily, the site foreman is Il Gardellino: a specialist in baroque music that resonates, breathes and sparkles for the past 35 years. Il Gardellino brings its first orchestra course for amateur musicians to a close with a concert at AMUZ. That’s no routine task, but the result of intense rehearsals led by Marcel Ponseele and focused coaching of each group of instruments by the members of the orchestra. At this closing concert, all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place, and the music starts to speak. The programme includes baroque repertoire by Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Handel, in a fresh approach by musicians who have spent a week immersed in the music.
