Ian Bostridge & Oxalys

A Soiree of Songs

AMUZ is rolling out the red carpet this autumn, because Ian Bostridge is one of the United Kingdom’s most impressive singers! The master colourist with the silver tenor is joining Oxalys for an evening dedicated to English song and chamber music repertoire from the early 20th century. Featuring one high point after another, this programme is burgeoning with illustrious toppers and unexpected gems: from Vaughan Williams’ sublime On Wenlock Edge to Gustav Holst’s superb arrangements of Scottish songs and from Felix Harold White’s prizewinning evocation of a grieving nymph (The Nymph’s Complaint) to the song cycle The Curlew, the 1922 masterpiece with which Peter Warlock revealed his talent to the world.
