In 2009, choreographer Wayne McGregor created Dyad 1909 as a tribute to the famous Ballets Russes. Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds wrote a score that combines the emotion of strings and piano with the electronic avant-garde. The dance production Infra is another of McGregors creations, commissioned by the Royal Ballet, for which he worked with visual artist Julian Opie and composer Max Richter.
