The ensemble EGERIA is one of the few early music groups in Spain that consists of women and focuses exclusively on mediaeval music. Another unique aspect of the group is that the singers are also trained musicologists who studied with specialists in mediaeval music in Spain, France and the United States, including Brigitte Lesne, Katarina Livljanic, Benjamin Bagby, Marc Mauillon and Mauricio Molina. EGERIA, which was founded three years ago, has been invited to many music festivals in Spain, toured in Portugal and performed at the Sorbonne in Paris.
